BRIEF HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Located near the port avenue of Havana, this marvelous Hotel “ Armadores de Santander “ has been restored to its original cultural splendor with 21st century amenities added making it one of Havana’s premier 4 star hotels offered by Habaguanex in Havana Vieja (The Olde City)

Mindful of the beautiful maritime province of Spain, we have adorned the entrance with the seal of the city and hanging lamps similar to that period in time.

The main entrance is a combination of eclectic and neo-classical architecture in a style that coincides with the owners name “ Jose Cabrero Mier “. 2 signs with his initials “ JC“ also adorn the entrance.

The name of the Hotel was chosen because the main offices of these important shipbuilders, Santander, from Spain were located within this building. The Count of La Mortera was the owner of an important fleet of ships that made many commercial voyages between the ports of Santander and Cuba.

Our hotels offers 39 accommodations, 34 Standard rooms of which 4 have terraces overlooking the harbor, 1 Junior Suite with Jacuzzi and one Master Suite with Jacuzzi and three duplexes, all designed with their own traditional atmosphere and blessed with a wonderful sea breeze which make those fortunate enough to have one of our spacious terraces feel they are truly blessed especially when enjoying evening cocktails or an early morning breakfast.

Our roof garden terrace on the 3^rd floor can accommodate small wedding parties and dinner parties of approximately 50 guests. A wonderful panoramic view is offered of Bay of Havana as well as a vast assortment of Tropical Drinks to allow you to relax and enjoy the truly Cuban and Caribbean atmosphere we have recreated for your pleasure.
