Founded by Diego Velázquez en 1514 with the name of Villa De la Santísima Trinidad, it has been declared by the UNESCO Humanitarian Culture, thanks to its architectural and historical valor's perfectly conserved. Also known as the Museum city of the Caribbean Sea, it is the most colonial of all the cities on the island. To walk on its stone streets, admire its churches and parks, paralyze yourself in front of its old houses examples of Spanish culture in America, or to be received with a warm cup of coffee by any neighbor, are just some of the experiences you have to live in this magical corner of Cuba.Its impossible to go to Trinidad and not visit its numerous museums, restaurants, The Farmer’s house, The house of Trova, Santa Ana Church, Central Plaza, Brunet Palace, The Palace of Sanchez Iznaga, The Mayor Parish or The Canchánchara to enjoy its wonderful cocktails with the same name.About 4 kilometers from the city is the Valley of San Luis or Valley of the Ingenious, also the Cultural Inheritance of Humanity, where at beginnings of the XIX century existed 48 Sugar Plants in full production, who’s ruins are visited today by thousands of tourists who also admire the front of The tower of Iznaga, built by himself to guard the slaves at work so they’d work hard enough in the Villa.Very near by is the Maria Aguilar Beach, with its warm and not to deep waters, with an exuberant coral life, sponges, small tropical fish, and different species of starfish. |

También es conocida como La Ciudad de Museos de las Aguas Caribeñas, y es la ciudad más colonial de la isla. Para caminar en las calles empedradas, y admirar sus iglesias y parques, o pararse en frente de las casas viejas, ejemplos de la cultura Española de América, o para recibir una taza de café caliente de cualquier vecino, estos son simplemente algunas de la experiencias que tendrá si vive en esta mágica esquina de Cuba.Es imposible ir a Trinidad y no visitar sus numerosos museos, restaurantes, la Casa del Campesino, la Casa de la Trova, la Iglesia de Santa Ana, la Plaza Central, Brunet Palace, el Palacio de Sánchez Iznaga, la Parroquia Mayor o La Canchánchara para disfrutar sus maravillosos cocteles con el mismo nombre.A más o menos 4 KM de la ciudad está El Valle de San Luis o El Valle de los Ingenios, también La Cultura Hereditaria de Humanidad, donde al principio del siglo XIX exsistían 48 centrales de azúcar en producción total, cuyas ruinas hoy en dia son visitadas por miles de turistas quienes también admiran la fachada de la Torre de Iznaga, construida por él mismo para asegurar que los esclavos trabajaran duro en la villa.Muy cerca está La Playa María Águila, con sus aguas tibias y poco profundas, con exhuberantes colonias de corales, esponjas, pequeños peces tropicales, y diferentes especies de estrellas marinas. |
