Located just 42km from the town of Cienfuegos, in the south central region of Cuba, at the mouth of the river La Jutia, on the road from Cienfuegos to Trinidad, a short 30 minute drive to those historical cities, the 3-star Villa Guajimico is a collection of fifty-one air conditioned bungalows beautifully scattered around a secluded cove with a private beach and harbor. An international diving center (the snorkeling is great too), facilities include two restaurants, bar, tourism desk, safety deposit boxes, satellite television, store, game room, beach volleyball, catamarans, saltwater pool overlooking the sea, and twenty-four hour medical services. A lovely place to stay, Villa Guajimico is the ideal destination for those who want to combine diving with sightseeing and trekking the Cuban countryside.
Guajimico is a tranquil and special diving area. Nestling in a small sandy cove - backed by the Escambray Mountains, Guajimico is a place where you can get away from everything - and at the same time experience some excellent diving. Whilst diving in this area you will see a huge variety of colourful and pristine corals including those of the star, lettuce and cactus variety, plus many sponges. The fish life in this area includes French and grey Angel fish, barracuda, blue damsels, snappers and groupers.
Villa Guajimico is the ideal destination for those who want to combine scuba diving with sightseeing and exploring the Cuban country side and its historical cities like the neo-classical Cienfuegos or the Spanish colonial UNESCO World Heritage city of Trinidad.

A ladder gets you into the water.
